Greensky Energetic's can often restore or rebuild older existing solar heating systems to working order. We can save our clients money by increasing the efficiency of the system while utilizing most of the existing components. Sometimes it is just a loose wire!
If you own an older system that is fully functional, please contact us as we like to share positive stories about how long these systems can operate with little maintainance.

This large solar pool heating system is located on the Two Rivers High School and was not operational for over a year. The building manager tried to find a contractor willing to repair the system using the existing equipment. Andy Williams, the solar designer for GreenSky Energetics, found out the zinc plugs - still located in the heat exchanger - was counter- acting with the propylene glycol anti-freeze in the solar fluid.
With a few other minor changes, the system is now operational saving multi-hundreds of dollars every month for the school district and gaining the reputation of having the warmest water on the school swim team meet circuit!"

This evacuated tube system was very poorly installed. GreenSky Energetics replaced the weather-worn less than 5 year old insulation and encapsulated the new insulation with exterior protective PVC casing. GreenSky also developed a second pumping system that has increased the efficiency of this system by over 20%, bringing the solar loop temperature up to 115 degrees*.

"This system had failed as the blower was wired wrong and had burned out. GreenSky replaced the AC motors with DC motors and installed photovoltaic panels to produce the electricty from the sun to power the blowers! Owner reports 80 degree house temperatures on the coldest full sun days!
